Memories of the Past
Since 1908, the little corner general store has been meeting the needs of Dorchester Shoppers. It was first known as Sunny Side Waiting Room, and operator Charles Admas met his customers at the end of the Admas Street trolley line. There was litle beyond the store—no Gallivan Boulevard, no Supreme Market—just open space andthe Neponset River.
A lot of things have changed ince Charles Adams first bult his store. The neighborhood has grown and roads have been built. That is why we feel Gerard's was a very much needed eatery in this fine Community. We hope that while you're here you enjoy the fine food as well as the quaint Victorian atmosphere of Gerard's. Also hoping your return is soon. So tell a friend or neighbor to drop by where ten decades o feiendly service and tradition awaits you.
Your host,
Gerard F. Adomunes |
